ABOUT THIS TOOL

Free Online MIDI Editor for Multi-Track Composition

Compose, edit and arrange MIDI directly in your browser — piano-roll note editing, multi-track arrangement, velocity and controller data, plus standard MIDI import and export. Built on a reviewed same-origin fork of the Signal MIDI editor so the editing surface is identical to a desktop DAW.

How it works

  1. 01Open the editor — the bundle loads once and stays cached. Import a .mid file or start a new arrangement.
  2. 02Edit notes in the piano roll, adjust velocity and controllers, arrange multiple tracks, then hit play with the built-in metronome.
  3. 03Export a standard MIDI file to drop into any DAW, or keep editing — recovery data stays in this browser until you clear it.

Key features

  • Multi-track piano-roll editing with velocity and controller data
  • Standard MIDI import and export, with drag-and-drop support
  • Local playback with metronome and a built-in default SoundFont
  • Browser-local recovery — your work never leaves the device

Common questions

The editor is a reviewed, versioned fork of the open-source Signal MIDI editor, embedded as a same-origin iframe so its styles and shortcuts stay isolated from the surrounding app. Every release records the source commit, build date, asset manifest and checksums, and you can roll back by switching the active release pointer.
