ABOUT THIS TOOL
Online MusicXML Player
Already have a MusicXML piano score? Open it here to view the notation and hear it with a piano sound. Follow the playback cursor, slow down difficult passages and practise one hand at a time. No image scan or recognition credits are needed.
- Output
- The imported MusicXML is parsed in this browser session into a piano score. You can export a MusicXML copy or a Type 1 MIDI file with separate right- and left-hand tracks. This page does not upload an image or start AI recognition.
How it works
- 01Choose a .xml or .musicxml file containing a supported piano grand staff.
- 02Read the rendered score and press Play to hear it. Use the progress bar, six speeds, hand mute and measure loop while practising.
- 03Export the score as MusicXML or MIDI, or open the separate scanner if your source is only an image.
Key features
- Browser-based notation display with a playback-following highlight
- Piano sound with separate right- and left-hand mute
- Full-screen score view, six speeds and measure looping
- MusicXML and Type 1 MIDI export without image recognition credits
Settings explained
- Playback speed
- Choose one of six practice speeds from 0.5× to 2× without changing the exported score.
- Hand controls
- Mute either piano hand during playback to practise the other part.
- Measure loop
- Repeat an inclusive range of measures while practising a passage.
MusicXML playback without scanning
This tool starts with an existing .xml or .musicxml piano score. It does not read photographs or PDFs. If you only have a printed score image, use the separate AI Sheet Music Scanner to recognize it first.
One score for display, sound and export
The imported score is the shared source for the notation view, piano playback and exports. Supported repeat signs are expanded for playback and MIDI. Unsupported musical structures are reported at import rather than silently changed.
